Ave Birth Doula

What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible. -DONA

What does Ave stand for? Ave is Latin and used to express good wishes on meeting or parting. Greeting to the new life you are bringing into this world.

Ave is meaningful to me because I have a strong devotion to Mary and "Ave Maria" is used a lot in greeting or calling on her.

About Me

My name is Taylor Young. I have four wonderful children and have been married for 6 years. I have worked as a dental assistant for 13 years. After having my third baby I decided to go through doula training. I have always felt the need to educate any mother I knew that was pregnant for the first time on labor/delivery and breastfeeding.

When I learned what a doula was I knew this was my calling.

I will be your physical and emotional support person throughout your journey.

I recieved my doula training through DONA. I have also taken a lactation course through Oklahoma Breastfeeding Resource Center.
